safeTALK Training - English
SafeTALK - Suicide Alertness for Everyone is a half-day training that trains participants to become alert helpers who can recognize individuals with thoughts of suicide, engage them in direct and open talk about suicide, and quickly connect them with someone who can do a more in-depth suicide intervention, which may include an ASIST-trained caregiver. What you’ll get:
A simple framework and skills to recognize and refer someone with thoughts of suicide
Opportunities to learn from other participants and practice your intervention skills at your own comfort level
Training workbook, learning aids, and localized resources
Certificate of completion
3.5 CEs through the Oregon NASW Chapter for interested participants
Cost is variable (for agency trainings the sign up cost is significantly reduced) - Training spots open to general public 2 weeks prior to the event. Please add yourself to our Safetalk RSVP event if you would like to be notified.
