ASIST 11 Workshop English - 2 Day

The ASIST workshop is for professionals and/or caring persons who want to feel more comfortable, confident and competent in helping to prevent the immediate risk of suicide. Participation in the full two days is required in order to receive certification.

ASIST is designed to help participants recognize risk and learn how to intervene to keep a person at risk safe for now.

Suicide can be prevented with the help of prepared professionals and/or caregivers.

Enjoy small group discussions and skills practice that are based upon adult learning principles. Feel challenged and safe and learn suicide first aid.

Who should attend? Mental Health and medical professionals, Religious leaders, Youth workers, Social workers, law enforcement, first responders, educators, coaches, managers, and anyone over the age of 16 years that wants to learn the skills to help those at risk of suicide.

Just like you don't need to be a doctor or nurse to learn CPR, you do not need to be a mental health professional to provide suicide first aid.

Please note: This workshop is designed to train helpers. If you are having thoughts of suicide, please call 911 or your local crisis line.
