ASIST applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training Luton
ASIST 11 Workshop English - 2 Day

With the mental health crisis on the rise, the sad truth is, more and more people are experiencing thoughts of suicide as a way of escape. For most, this comes from a desire to end their suffering instead of because they want to end their life. And it can affect anyone. But given the right help, people can find an alternative path; a path of safety.

The ASIST course provides you with the skills, training and techniques to support someone with thoughts of suicide to turn to a point of safety. Together building a suicide safer community. Literally saving lives!

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is an accredited 2-day interactive workshop in suicide first aid.

ASIST teaches participants to recognise when someone may be having thoughts of suicide and support them using the Pathway to Assisting Life model into choosing safety for now.

Although ASIST is widely used by healthcare providers, participants don’t need any prior training in mental health to attend the workshop – anyone 16 or older can learn and apply the ASIST model, as required.
