Closed Training for YMCA Employees who work with Youth. This will be a half-day (3.5 to 4-hour) training that teaches youth leaders to recognize and engage adolescents who might be having thoughts of suicide and connect them with community resources trained in suicide intervention. SafeTALK stresses safety while challenging taboos that inhibit open talk about suicide. An ASIST-trained resource Alica Amsler from Runway2Life will be at this training.
