Ottumwa, Iowa ASIST Workshop September 17-18
ASIST 11 Workshop English - 2 Day
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) teaches suicide first aid. Participants learn to recognize when people have thoughts of suicide and how to keep them safe.
Participation and attendance is required for two full days. Workbooks and training material will be provided to participants, but individuals are encouraged to bring pens, paper, or electronic devices to take notes during class.
Continuing education hours are available. ASIST meets the suicide prevention CE requirement for Missouri.
Paraclete Life, LLC will conduct the workshop. Paraclete Life, LLC is an approved continuing education provider for the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (#SP18-011) and the National Association of Social Workers (#886803371-9490).
