ASIST for LGBTIQ Communities - Brisbane
ASIST 11 Workshop English - 2 Day

This free ASIST Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training is being held specifically for LGBTIQ people or those who provide support to LGBTIQ communities who are wanting to learn more about how to apply a suicide intervention model.

Workshop trainers will be LGBTIQ people who were trained as ASIST trainers last year through the Brisbane North PHN National Suicide Prevention Trail, who will be supported by experienced and skilled ASIST LivingWorks trainers.

Training costs are being covered by QuAC under the Planning for Wellbeing: North Brisbane Mental Health, Suicide Prevention and Alcohol and Other Drug Regional Plan, and include registration fees, workshop materials and catering. Please note we cannot reimburse your time or cover wages for staff to attend this training.

While this training is free for participants, to reserve a position a $50 deposit will be required that will be refunded in full upon attendance at the training (Full cost of this training is normally $360). Non-attendance will result in a forfeiting of your deposit.
