Greater Pittsburgh ASIST Workshop
ASIST 11 Workshop English - 2 Day
A two-day interactive workshop teaching participants to recognize when someone may have thoughts of suicide and how to work with them to create a plan that will support their safety.
Ø Guided by four Living Works registered trainers
Ø A scientifically proven intervention model
Ø Powerful audio-visual learning aids and training materials
Ø Group discussions and skills practice opportunities
By completing the workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Discuss suicide with a person at risk in a direct manner;
2. Identify risk alerts and develop a safe plan related to them;
3. Demonstrate the skills required to intervene with a person at risk of suicide;
4. Recognize that suicide prevention is broader than suicide intervention and, includes life promotion and self-care for persons at risk and for caregivers
WHEN: Thursday, August 8 & Friday, August 9, 2019

WHERE: Smithton, Pennsylvania (site location is pending approval)
SPECIAL COST: $80.00 per person for a 2-day training!
(includes workbook, ASIST certificate, lunch and light refreshments)
